Arts Trail an' shit

Hello there,

So I'm a member of this lil local community art project where I live. It's called the Arts Trail. A bunch of us 'artists' open up our homes/studio's and the public can come and have a look or even buy if they so wish. Thrilling it is. Kinda.

Went really well. Made £150 out of selling prints :) Gonna treat myself to Scribblenauts out of the cash. The Arts Trail is always a bit of a weird experience. Having a load of people strolling into yer house looking at yer art. Plus I'm not really great at talking about my art. People asking me about it and all that is just a bit weird for me.

But like I said it was good. A good confidence boost. It's good to have a boost for motivation. It can be hard motivating yourself all the time. It was nice to have so many people saying they really liked my art and that is was about time I got out there and made something of myself.

So, I got quite a bit to do. Comics coming soon. I think it's about time I really started getting my work 'out there'. Trying to make some money maybe but mainly just getting myself noticed. I have a bad habit of drawing stuff and leaving it in a drawer never to see the light of day. I need to get out of that.

I'm going to set up a Folksy profile so I can sell stuff. Comics, prints, cards....anything really. I'm not expecting to make loadsa money but I think it'll be good to do. I do get asked if I have prints for sale online now and then so it'll be good to have somewhere to send people. If anyone else is on Folksy let me know. I'll be a noob (I always am) so any tips would be appreciated.

So, yeah. Feeling really motivated right now.

Also had to mention some things that have entertained me recently. A lil while ago I decided to buy the first season of Battlestar Galactica. Me and my girlfriend started watching it and we thought it was pretty crappy and confusing.

Then a friend mentioned that it actually starts with the pilot and not season 1. So We got that and gave it another try. Was EPIC. Totally loved it and looking forward to starting the first season. THEN the evening after watching BSG we went to the cinema. Saw District 9. My mind melted. It left me totally fucking dumbstruck. I've gotten so used to being disappointed and kinda bored by most things these days. To have BSG one night and then District 9 the next I could've cried. Was fucking awesome. I love it when shit like that happens. Opens my mind up.

This is a really long blog. Sorry folks.
